Outlook 2007 Update
Hello,
Our Groupwise to Exchange migration is progressing and there have been some modifications to our plan as technical issues arise. I'm writing to notify everyone that as of Friday, Oct 31, 8am we will start using Outlook as the mail client. There are some issues to be aware of.
- Your current Groupwise inbox may not initially appear in your Outlook inbox. The migration will start Thursday night and run throughout the weekend. Everyone should have their Groupwise mail in their Outlook mailbox by Monday or Tuesday of next week. In the meantime Groupwise will stay on your computer and you will be able to use it to refer back to any existing email - you just won't be able to send using Groupwise.
- All calendar and mail distribution lists will be available in Outlook. So, for instance, you'll still be able to mail "Computer Support"!
- Computer Support will followup once the Groupwise mail gets migrated over to pull in Groupwise and Eudora archives, setup @nmsu.edu email and remove Groupwise and Eudora clients.
I'll be sending another email with more detailed instructions on how to pull up Outlook and any other information you might need before Friday morning.
