Early College Start Program
Through the Early College Start (ECS) program, qualified high school juniors and seniors in selected Doña Ana County high schools can take college-level, occupational-training courses that will count toward high school graduation and toward a certificate or associate degree at DACC.
Students do not pay for tuition or textbooks during the regular fall and spring semester. They do pay for their own supplies, protective apparel, and tool sets where applicable. To earn a certificate or associate degree from DACC, students will have to attend additional sessions following high school graduation and pay DACC tuition and fees. Financial assistance may be available for these sessions. (Note: Not all DACC courses taken through the ECS program are transferrable to other colleges and universities).
Students should apply for ECS opportunities with a high school counselor. To be considered, they must meet the criteria agreed upon by their school district and DACC.
