Want To Teach With Us?

Thank you for your interest in teaching a Community Education Class for DACC! Our programs implement the principle that learning continues throughout life by providing formal and informal learning opportunities for all members of our community. DACC Community Education is committed to serving the needs and interests of our ever growing community, and thus, is eager to continue adding to our current course offerings. If you have a skill, a trade, a hobby or a passion that you wish to share with others, we are interested in hearing from you. Please review the following instructions carefully to learn more about the process of becoming a Community Education instructor with DACC.

Course Proposals for Summer 2014 are due March 1, 2014. No late proposals will be accepted.

Course Proposals for Fall 2014 are due July 5th, 2014. No late proposals will be accepted.

  • Master Calendar 2014

    This Master Calendar highlights all the important dates our instructors must be aware of for the upcoming academic year.

  • Course Proposal Instructions

    This document provides instructors with information regarding important deadlines, class details, the course proposal process, instructor pay, and publicity.

  • Course Proposal Form

    This document prompts instructors to answer a series of questions pertaining to the course you wish to teach. Instructors will fill out a new form for each proposed course.

  • Pay Scale

    This spreadsheet depicts the rate of pay that instructors can expect, based on the number of participants and the length of the class. DACC Community Education reserves the right to adjust this scale when needed.

  • Employee Information Sheet

    Each new Community Education employee, or one who has not worked in the past year, is responsible for providing the following information. This information is essential to processing employment forms.

Once you have completed all the required documents, please mail, hand deliver, scan and email, or fax them back to our office by the proposal deadline for the semester that you wish to teach. If you have any questions whatsoever regarding this process, please feel free to contact the Community Education office and we will be happy to assist you.
